Jay's touring van is the 'Veggie Voyager'. It runs on recycled vegetable oil from restaurants, and biodiesel fuel, made from vegetable oil & alcohol. (During winter, it uses some regular diesel fuel, appx one part diesel to four parts vegetable oil.) The Veggie Voyager is a great hands-on demonstration vehicle. This year's project includes the installation of solar panels, a small wind turbine, compact flourescent bulbs, a bicycle generator, and energy conservation puzzles, games, and charts. This is Jay's second veggie-oil vehicle.
